
Health Career students performed a turkey leg lab today just in time for Thanksgiving last week!




Caleb Tiradani, a junior at Roosevelt High School, is currently enrolled in two courses at the CTE Academy – Introduction to Audio/Visual Arts and Integrated Speech. Caleb envisions sharing compelling stories through various media platforms, including the art of speech. Recognizing his outstanding dedication and passion for the subject, Mrs. Mushaney, Caleb's Speech teacher, has nominated him for this "See the Vision" award.
Caleb stands out with his genuine enthusiasm for Speech and the media arts, consistently investing effort to enhance his presentations. He demonstrates a keen eye for detail and maintains open lines of communication by actively seeking clarification and posing insightful questions about his assignments. His commitment to excellence and his proactive approach to learning make him a deserving candidate for this “See the Vision” award. Congratulations to Caleb!

Congratulations CTE Academy FFA!! The ag sales team made up of Sidney Stewart, Paytan Waterman, Bree Koepke, and Brody Stenger competed against 8 other teams in our area and received 2nd place. They will be advancing to the state competition.
Brody Stenger and Bree Koepke then competed in employment skills, against 15 other individuals and Bree came in 4th place and will be the district alternate and Brody is advancing to state!

Gavin Jones is a sophomore from Lincoln High School and is a “See the Vision” winner at the CTE Academy. Being named a "See the Vision" winner speaks volumes about his dedication and skills in the field of Audio/Visual Arts. Gavin's decision to enroll in Introduction to Audio/Visual Arts and his plans to produce promotional and entertainment videos showcase his passion for the creative aspects of the industry. Mr. Hoffman, Gavin’s teacher, gave praise for Gavin's creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to perfecting his projects. It's clear that Gavin is not only a great student but also someone who goes above and beyond to turn his projects into works of art. Congratulations, Gavin, on being a “See the Vision” winner.

The AOF Field Trip to Southeast Technical College (STC) learned about how to launch your career in business if you are an introvert or extravert....NO Classes on Fridays.....cost per credit at STC vs other colleges.....learning styles: traditional, online, hybrid, accelerated or zoom remote locations.
Did you know if you take a CTE course you may receive a $500 - $1000 scholarship at STC?





Thank you to Sanford hospital for hosting Biomed 1 students. Students learned about in flight emergency medicine, cardiac and vascular ultrasound, the cath lab, and the main laboratory.




USD College of Nursing visited the CTE Academy Health Careers classes! Students got to see their simulation bus and walk through the steps of diagnosing a patient with pneumonia and UTI.

"I have a passion for working with numbers," says Bryn Fleming, the first recipient of the "See the Vision" award for the 2023-2024 school year. A senior at Jefferson High School and CTE student, Bryn is currently enrolled in the Academy of Finance Program with a focus on Accounting. Her aspirations are set on becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and she is exploring potential post-secondary education opportunities at the University of South Dakota and the University of Nebraska.
Mrs. Brunken, Bryn's teacher, has high praise for her student, foreseeing a bright future in the financial realm. "Bryn serves as a role model, offering valuable assistance to her peers, posing insightful questions, establishing meaningful connections with the business world, and embracing the challenges of excelling as a business student," Mrs. Brunken affirmed.
Congratulations to Bryn on achieving our first "See the Vision" award this school year!
